William P. Plante Golf Tournament & Concert

The William P. Plante Memorial Fund, a component fund of the Northern New York Community Foundation, was established to honor William "Bill" Plante and his legacy of selflessly giving back to the Northern New York Community. 

We are looking for sponsors to support our annual fundraising event, Rock the City for Bill. This year, we are hosting an 18-hole captain and crew golf tournament at Ives Hill Country Club on July 19th, 2024. Registration begins at 8am followed by a shotgun start at 9am. Join us later that evening at Ives hill Country Club for the summer's best concert featuring the band, ATLAS! Doors open at 5pm with a buffet to follow. 

The Memorial Fund proceeds go to and support community projects in the Northern New York area, as well as scholarships awarded to two North Country High School Seniors who demonstrate a passion for contributing back to the Northern New York Community. The 8th annual William P. Plante Scholarships will be awarded this June, and the two recipients' short biography will be on display at our events to show why we felt these individuals demonstrated giving back to our community just as Bill and his family had. Last year's event was a tremendous success allowing us to award the Walker Center for Cancer Care $4,000, all thanks to our sponsors, friends, and the community's support.
