The Golden Classic

For those who never had the chance to know Elmer Golden, throughout his life, his athletic abilities were always a true gift.  Not only was he a legend on the field, as he aged, he became a legend in the stands.  By the time he came home from a high school game, he would know not only the players, but their stats.  With that being said, it is important to be able to carry on his legacy by offering an accessible opportunity for seniors to be able to share their love of the game with our new generation.

As a family, we began to think about how we can honor Elmer in a way that would make him proud.  So as we make preparations for the FIRST Annual Golden Classic, I wanted to take the opportunity for you to add to it's success.  It had been a priority for not only Elmer, but many seniors in our community, to stay involved and support our school sports and activities.  This year’s tournament is in an effort to raise money to purchase a 4-6 passenger golf cart to be used at BRCS, making the commuting around the grounds more accessible for all to show their support.
