Chris Janson to Perform at Mountainfest 2018

Where will you be June 20th? AmeriCU Credit Union revealed today the artists performing at the “Salute to the Troops Tribute Concert” during

Fort Drum’s seventh annual Mountainfest.

With support from generous sponsors, Mountainfest will be hosting Chris Janson, who is recognized for his smash-hits “Buy Me a Boat,” “Drunk Girl” and “Fix a Drink.”

Opening for Janson is David Lee Murphy, who just released his new album, “No ZIP Code” and is known for his songs “Dust on the Bottle” and “Party Crowd.”

Mountainfest can expect a party crowd of their own, anticipating more than 20,000 spectators to come enjoy festivities.

AmeriCU Marketing and Event Coordinator Julie Tramacera says the event is great for families and the soldiers especially.

“It’s a big part of the North Country. It is rewarding to celebrate the soldiers and give back to them when they are the ones giving back to the country,” she said

The free event begins at 1 p.m. on Fort Drum, with bounce houses, concession stands, car shows and games. The “Salute to the Nation” Ceremony will begin at four and the concert will follow at six, finishing with fireworks.
