Longhouse Council Celebrates New Eagle Scouts for the First Half of 2024

Syracuse, New York – 9/5/24– The Longhouse Council, Scouting America, proudly announces
the newest class of Eagle Scouts who have achieved Scouting’s highest rank in the first half
of 2024. These remarkable young people have demonstrated extraordinary commitment,
leadership, and service to their communities, earning the prestigious Eagle Scout rank
through years of dedication and hard work.

Earning the rank of Eagle Scout is a significant accomplishment, requiring Scouts to complete
a challenging set of requirements that include earning a minimum of 21 merit badges,
holding leadership positions within their troop, and planning, developing, and leading a
service project that benefits their community. This achievement reflects the culmination of a
Scout’s journey and their readiness to lead with integrity and a commitment to service.

The Longhouse Council is incredibly proud of these Scouts for their dedication to the values
of Scouting and for the positive impact they have made on their communities. Each of these
Eagle Scouts has exemplified the core principles of Scouting: leadership, service, and duty to
others. Thanks to the leadership of these young people over 3,200 hours of service were
given to local communities in the Longhouse Council.

exceptional character, leadership, and commitment to service,” said Edwin Theetge, Scout
Executive of Longhouse Council. “These young people have not only met the rigorous
requirements to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, but they have also made meaningful
contributions to their communities. We look forward to seeing the continued positive impact
they will have as leaders in our society.”

The Longhouse Council congratulates these new Eagle Scouts and their families for their
outstanding achievements and contributions to the Scouting movement. A celebration
honoring all of the 2024 Eagle Scouts will be held in January 2025.
