LEWIS COUNTY YOUTH BUREAU NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR STUDENT MEMBERS

LOWVILLE, NY — The Lewis County Youth Bureau is excited to announce that it is now  accepting applications for student members for the upcoming term. This is a valuable  opportunity for local high school students to get involved in county government, develop  leadership skills, and help shape the future of youth services in Lewis County. 

Eligibility Requirements: 

• Must be a student within a Lewis County school district 

• Open to students in grades 9 through 12 

• Must be able to meet once a month (meetings may be held online or in person) 

• Willingness to contribute to the board by sharing ideas, providing a youth  perspective, and assisting with community events 

• Membership ends upon high school graduation 

Benefits of Serving on the Youth Bureau: 

• Hands-on experience with government processes, including funding and state aid • Opportunities for leadership development and skill-building 

• Community service hours and letters of recommendation 

• A platform to influence and shape youth programs and services in Lewis County
