Old McDonald’s Farm Welcomes the Mobile Dairy Experience!

SACKETS HARBOR, NY – The New York Animal Agriculture Coalition (NYAAC), a farmer-founded and funded nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public about animal agriculture for over 20 years, is proud to announce the arrival of its Mobile Dairy Experience (MDE) at Old McDonald’s Farm during their Big Trucks & Tractors Weekend.

This immersive, 1,000-square-foot exhibit is designed to give visitors of all ages a hands-on look into the world of dairy farming. From the barn to the grocery aisle, guests will explore how wholesome dairy products like milk and cheese are produced on the farm and make their way to your local store or market.

Explore cutting-edge technology used on today’s modern dairy farms. Witness a life-sized milking machine, explore wearable tech, and learn how computers and robotics support healthy, productive herds.

🧀 Making Dairy Products

Solve a light-up puzzle that reveals how dairy travels from farm to fridge. Explore dairy products, scan QR codes for nutritional information, and learn about the many benefits of milk and its by-products.

🌟 Future Farmers

Discover a wide range of career opportunities within New York’s dairy industry. Interactive touchscreens showcase farmer spotlights and feature a video by the NYS Department of Labor highlighting future possibilities in agriculture.

🛒 Farm-to-Grocery Store Journey

At the end of the exhibit, visitors can enter a mock grocery store complete with a cooler of dairy products and barcode scanners for a hands-on checkout experience—perfect for kids and curious adults alike.

An Educational Experience for the Whole Family

The MDE features several TVs both inside and outside of the exhibit, offering additional educational videos and insights into the lives of New York’s family dairy farmers. It's a perfect opportunity for families to learn, explore, and appreciate where their food comes from.
