WATERTOWN, NY (July 15, 2025) – Join WPBS for their third annual Murder Mystery Event: Murder & Mayhem at Boldt Castle on Heart Island on Saturday, September 13. No one does “whodunit” better than WPBS & The Butler Did It Players!
The narrative of the mystery begins in the garden of Boldt Castle! Join us as we travel back in time to the Victorian Era and a wedding that was to take place in the garden of the castle. A no expenses spared event to celebrate the union of an only daughter to an up-and-coming young man. But there can be no wedding without the bride, and this joyous day turned sinister when her lifeless body was found on the island grounds in the hours before dawn. No cause of death! No witnesses! The family and the local police have no leads! Who will find the killer so that this murdered soul can rest? Why, the most famous detective in history! Sherlock Holmes! Holmes and Dr. Watson will scour Boldt Castle for clues to put their detective skills to work and you are invited to join them!
Dress in your best Victorian-era attire for an evening in the castle - meeting the family, eavesdropping on the staff, and gathering clues. Be sure to take notes and make a guess about “whodunit,” how, and why! Step inside a real-life game of CLUE with Sherlock Holmes as your guide! One winner who completes the entire solution to the mystery will receive a special prize!
Wine bar will be available and hot appetizer buffet by Embellished Catering. Transport by Uncle Sam Boat Tours. Special thanks to the Thousand Island Bridge Authority.
Attendees must be 21 years to attend at the time of the event.
