Watertown, NY – Tuesday, August 19, 2025 – Zoo New York is excited to announce a new temporary exhibit featuring several incredible carvings from the U.S. Open Chainsaw Carving Championship, made possible through the generous support of Burrville Power Equipment. These one-of-a-kind sculptures are now on display throughout the Zoo and will remain for visitors to enjoy over the next few months, included with regular admission.

“These sculptures are truly incredible works of art,” said Dr. Mark Irwin, Interim Executive Director of Zoo New York. “Thanks to Burrville Power Equipment, our guests can experience these world-class carvings up close while enjoying the Zoo’s animals, exhibits, and natural beauty.”

About the Carvings
The carvings were created during the 2025 U.S. Open Chainsaw Carving Championship, hosted by Burrville Power Equipment in Watertown this July. The event drew master carvers from around the world—including the USA, Canada, England, Japan, Ireland, and Australia—some of whom were featured on Discovery Channel’s A Cut Above. In just a few days, these artists transformed massive logs into stunning sculptures, each showcasing extraordinary skill, creativity, and imagination.
