Free Observational Astronomy Night

The Sci-Tech Center of Northern New York is hosting a free telescopic astronomy event on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 7:30 PM. The public is invited to join in Thompson Park (West Tower Drive, across from the 10th Mountain Division Monument) in Watertown, NY. 

Highlights of the evening include viewing Saturn and its rings, and witnessing the Orionid meteor shower — known for its long meteor trails and occasional fireballs. Sci-Tech staff will be present to guide attendees through the sky and assist with telescope viewing. 

Important notes:

• Dress warmly for the evening outdoors. 

• If skies are overcast, the event will be canceled.
