Classroom Kindness 2026: Nominate a Teacher Who Has Made a Difference

NBC Watertown and the Northern New York Community Foundation are proud to announce that nominations are now open for Classroom Kindness 2026 – Teacher Appreciation.

            This special recognition program honors the exceptional educators across the North Country who go above and beyond to inspire, support, and shape the lives of their students.

            We’re inviting the community to nominate a teacher who has made a lasting impact – someone who encourages growth, sparks curiosity, builds confidence, or simply shows up every day with kindness and dedication.

            Seven outstanding North-Country teachers will be selected to receive:

·         A catered awards ceremony in their honor

·         A $250 grant for classroom improvements

Teachers play a powerful role in our lives – often long after we leave their classrooms. Whether it’s a teacher who helped you believe in yourself, pushed you to achieve more, or supported you through a challenging time, now is your opportunity to give them the extra credit they deserve.
