MLB Returns March 26 on NBC Watertown, Sunday Night Baseball to Stream All Season Long

Watertown, NY – Baseball season is almost here.

            Major League Baseball officially returns Thursday, March 26, with Opening Day coverage airing on NBC. NBC Watertown will bring viewers the excitement of the new season and will stream Sunday Night Baseball matchups throughout the duration of the 2026 season, giving the North Country fans consistent access to some of the league’s biggest games.

            While Opening Day falls on a Thursday this year, Sunday Night Baseball coverage begins shortly after and continues weekly through the regular season, featuring premier matchups, division rivalries, and some of the biggest stars in the game.

            The season kicks off March 26 with a nationally televised Opening Day matchup, followed by a strong slate of early-season games including:

·         Pittsburgh Pirates at New York Mets (March 26 – 1 p.m.)

·         Arizona Diamondbacks at Los Angeles Dodgers (March 26 – 8 p.m.)

·         Cleveland Guardians at Seattle Mariners (March 29 – 7 p.m.)

As the season continues, Sunday night matchups will feature powerhouse teams and historic rivalries, including appearances by the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, and more.

Notable Sunday Night Baseball games on the schedule include:

·         Atlanta Braves at Philadelphia Phillies (April 19)

·         San Diego Padres at Seattle Mariners (May 17)

·         San Francisco Giants at Chicago Cubs (May 31)

·         New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox (June 28)

·         Los Angeles Dodgers at New York Yankees (July 19)

·         Houston Astros at New York Mets (August 30)

·         Milwaukee Brewers at Baltimore Orioles (September 20)

Throughout the season, NBC Watertown will stream every Sunday Night Baseball game, with the exception of Opening Day coverage on March 26.
