The American Legion Post 61 is proud to announce the “Be The One” Veterans Suicide Awareness & Prevention Walk 2025, Saturday, April 26, 2025.
Registration is 9AM at the American Legion Army & Navy Post 61, 138 Sterling St, Watertown NY.
The Public is cordially invited to participate.
This program and walk is to bring Veterans Suicide Awareness and Prevention to the Community as a whole. Twenty-two (22) Veterans are lost to suicide each day. That is 22 lives too many. The program will include information on suicide awareness and prevention from Community coalition partners. The Greater Watertown Community is cordially invited to participate. The Legion “Be The One” walk will start at 10AM from the American Legion, 138 Sterling Street proceeding down Washington Street to Public Square. We will cross to the Public Square water fountain area for rally to bring awareness & prevention of suicide to the community as a whole. Then After a 10 to 15 minute stay will proceed back to the American Legion.
